The General's Guard's primary focus is to raise money for cancer via the LiveSTRONG Foundation and other cancer support groups like Heroes For Children! The General was the captain's inspirational dad who fought cancer.
This group only races when someone yells, 'rasta!' or when a city limit sign comes into view. They relay for 24 hours at White Rock Lake and aim to raise awareness and resources for families in the DFW area who have a child struggling with cancer.
The General's Guard has raised over $240,000 since 2006 to support people with cancer!
This year, their goal is to raise $10,000 to go directly to Heroes for Children!
